NERVOUS SYSTEM & NATURE RETREAT

THE WATER & FREEZE WEEKEND

PAUSE. BE HELD. LISTEN. UNDERSTAND. EXPERIENCE.

You can be strong, independent and highly capable — and still feel stuck in your body. Perhaps you’ve already done a lot of work. You understand your patterns, your history and why you respond the way you do. Yet your body may still feel tight, heavy, tired, braced or unable to fully let go.

Sometimes the next step isn't more information.
It is slowing down enough to notice what is already there.

“My body has a lot to say. I’m not sure what it means yet — and that’s okay.”

A reflection from our last retreat. That is what these weekends are about.
Not analysing every sensation. Not digging for another story. Not fixing yourself.
But creating enough space, support and curiosity to listen to the body and experience your nervous system from the inside.

“A flower can’t be opened with a hammer.”

Neither can your nervous system.
We don't force change. We create the conditions that allow something different to become possible.

FREEZE, WATER & YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM

For three days, we step away from everyday pace and become curious about Freeze — the nervous system's intelligent response when fighting or fleeing no longer feels possible or safe.

How might immobilisation, bracing or collapse show up as tension, fatigue, disconnection, difficulty making decisions, loss of motivation — or the strange experience of being highly capable and somehow stuck at the same time?

Alongside the biology of Freeze, February brings us into winter and the Water element — stillness, fear, depth and inner wisdom.
Nature isn't asking anything to bloom in February. Perhaps we don't need to either.

Through nervous-system education, somatic practices, TRE®, gentle movement, reflection, nature and connection, we explore:

What happens when I pause?
What happens when I don't know?
What can I hear when I stop pushing forward?

There is time to understand the biology. There is time to experience your own nervous system. And there is time to simply let things land. Because sometimes we have to become quiet enough to hear what the body already knows.

YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO BE STRONG.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE SUPPORTED?

DURING THE WEEKEND, WE'LL EXPLORE

— The biology of Freeze, immobilisation and collapse
— How Freeze and bracing can show up in everyday life and the body
— Safety, support and what helps the nervous system shift state
— Somatic awareness, TRE® and embodied nervous-system practices
— Water: fear, stillness, depth and inner wisdom
— Nature, movement, rest, nourishment and connection
— Listening to your body without immediately trying to fix it

You’ll leave with:

— A deeper understanding of your own nervous system
— Greater awareness of what your body is communicating
— Practical ways to create more support in everyday life
— Experiences and practices you can continue at home
— More curiosity and less judgement toward your responses
— A deeper connection to your own inner wisdom

MEET YOUR HOST

Louise Tjernqvist is a functional medicine and nervous-system practitioner, TRE® Provider and former Swedish National Team swimmer and Olympic medallist.

With more than 18 years in integrative health, nutrition and functional medicine, her work today brings together nervous-system biology, somatic experience, functional health and nature.

Having lived the high-performance world herself, Louise has a particular understanding of the person who is very good at pushing through, figuring things out and carrying a lot — and what can happen when the body eventually has something to say about the pace.

Her work isn't about making people less driven. It's about building the awareness and capacity to work with the body rather than against it.
