About Louise Tjernqvist

Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, my early passion for water and sports turned into a spot on the national swim team. During my ten years on the Swedish National Swim team, I had the opportunity to live, practice and compete all over the world.

Being an athlete does not necessarily equal living a healthy lifestyle. After my swim career ended, the holistic health approach caught my attention. I started as a personal trainer, but soon nutrition and lifestyle coaching took over my passion. Today I work side by side with coaches and trainers to help their clients reach their full potential and have had the pleasure of working with many talented people from all over the world.

After the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, I chose to take off my swimsuit and support my family in North America. After 16 years abroad we moved back to my home town Stockholm, with my husband, two beautiful boys and dogs. In 2022, we decided to change pace & life priorities and moved to live a small town life in Dalarna.

TRUE Story

I find it fascinating that so many athletes are so disassociated from their bodies, I was too. Being a finely tuned machine means you often detatch from your real needs and feelings.

Giving birth to my first son and becoming a mother, started my healing journey, both physically and emotionally. Using my drive and curiosity to continually seek answers, I found a body-mind connection that I never thought was possible. I am now a proud functional medicine practitioner with expertise focused on recovery and an energy medicine healer. Today I am giving back and teaching what I wished I knew during my athletic career.

I am excited that you are visiting my website and grateful for your time. When something grabs your attention, stop and focus, listen, your body is trying to tell you something…
