Nervous System & Nature Retreat (Earth Element)
September 18th - 20th 2026, in Leksand, Dalarna
Step away from the noise. Come back to what supports you.
This 3-day retreat is for high performers who have become very good at carrying a lot: responsibilities, expectations, work, family, but are beginning to feel the cost in their body.
Perhaps your energy is inconsistent, your mind rarely switches off, your digestion changes under pressure, or you find it difficult to truly rest and receive support even when you know you need it.
For 3 days, we create space to slow the pace, understand what your nervous system and body are communicating, and practise a different way of supporting yourself.
The Earth focus: Ground & Nourish
This retreat explores the relationship between the heart, gut, brain, fascia, and nervous system, and what becomes possible when the body experiences enough safety to soften. We explore nourishment in its wider sense: food and hydration, but also rest, connection, coherence, movement, belonging, and our ability to receive support. We pay attention to the places where we may feel stuck or rigid, in our bodies, our fascia, our thinking, or our relationships, and begin creating more flexibility, flow, and capacity in both body and mind.
Late summer also invites us to digest and integrate, not only our food, but our experiences and the lessons life has given us. Through nervous system education, somatic practices, time in nature, Heart Coherence, movement, fascia work, restorative nutrition, hydration, and meaningful connection, we explore what it feels like to trust a little more, to allow ourselves to be supported and held, and to reconnect with ourselves and others. Rather than forcing change, we create the conditions for the nervous system to shift state, and from a different internal state, healing, connection, trust, and restoration can begin to unfold.
“A flower can’t be opened with a hammer.”
This weekend is not about forcing your body to change. It’s about creating the conditions that allow change to happen.
During the retreat, we’ll explore:
— The relationship between your gut, brain and nervous system, and how it can affect energy, digestion and stress
— How chronic pressure can show up through tension, bracing and difficulty properly settling
— Nourishment and hydration as part of nervous system recovery
— Heart coherence, somatic awareness and practical regulation tools
— How to recognise what genuinely supports your body rather than automatically pushing through
You’ll leave with:
— Practical tools you can use when stress begins to build in everyday life
— A better understanding of your body’s signals and what they may be asking for
— New ways to support digestion, energy, recovery and nervous system regulation
— A greater sense of grounding, connection and trust in your body
— Space to experience what it feels like to be supported rather than carrying everything yourself

A weekend shaped by nature
Held at Molnbyggen Strand in Dalarna, the retreat unfolds beside forest and water, with space to move between learning, nature, nourishing meals, sauna, rest and connection.
This isn’t an experience where you need to be “on” all weekend. The workshops are practical and embodied rather than traditional lectures, with time to explore, practise, reflect and simply let the work land.
This is not about doing more, it’s about learning how your body actually works, and working with it.

Meet Your Host
Louise Tjernqvist is a former Swedish National Team swimmer and Olympic medallist with more than 18 years of experience across integrative health, functional medicine, nutrition and nervous system regulation.
Having lived the high-performance world herself, Louise understands both the drive to keep going and what happens when the body can no longer match the pace being asked of it. Her work brings together physiology, nervous system education and body-based practices to help high performers understand their body more deeply and build a more sustainable relationship with stress, recovery and performance.
